How To Integrate With TradingView

The objective of this video is to show you how to integrate with Trading View in order to execute advanced entries and exits using the auto trader.

Key Steps:

1. Enable the web hook for the auto trader:
   • If the auto trader is being created from scratch, make sure to enable the web hook.
   • Go to the settings tab of the auto trader.
   • Scroll down and click on "Enable Trading View Web Hook".
   • Click "Enable" and then "Save".
2. Note the changes in trade entry frequency:
   • Enabling the Trading View web hook will override the weekly or daily entry frequency set for the auto trader.
   • If the auto trader had a specific entry frequency, it will no longer work.
   • Trades can only be entered through Trading View alerts.
3. Regenerate the webhook secret (optional):
   • If the webhook secret has accidentally been shared and needs to be changed, click on "Regenerate Secret".
   • This ensures that the webhook is tied to the correct account.
4. Copy the webhook URL:
   • Click on "Copy URL" to copy the webhook URL.
   • This URL will be used to set up alerts in Trading View.
5. Set up an alert in Trading View for trade entry:
   • Choose the desired condition for trade entry (e.g., when a specific moving average is crossed).
   • Create the alert and go to the notifications settings.
   • Paste the webhook URL in the "Web Hook URL" field.
   • Save the alert.
   • When this alert is triggered, it will send a notification to the auto trader system to confirm the user's identity and execute the trade.
6. Set up an alert in Trading View for trade exit:
   • Choose the desired condition for trade exit (e.g., when a specific moving average is crossed).
   • Copy the specific webhook URL for this trade.
   • Create the alert and go to the notifications settings.
   • Paste the webhook URL in the "Web Hook URL" field.
   • Save the alert.
   • When this alert is triggered, it will send a notification to the auto trader system to execute the trade exit.

Cautionary Notes:

• Enabling the Trading View web hook will override the existing entry frequency set for the auto trader.
• Make sure to set up alerts for each specific trade entry and exit.
• Ensure that the webhook secret is kept secure and regenerate it if necessary.

Tips for Efficiency:

• Keep track of the specific webhook URLs for each trade to ensure accurate execution.
• Double-check the notifications settings in Trading View to ensure the webhook URL is correctly pasted.
