If you’ve placed a trade manually outside of Options Auto Trader and want to manage it using our platform’s automation features, you can easily import the trade into your auto trader.
Use the "Import a Trade" Feature
To begin managing a manually placed trade, you’ll need to import it into Options Auto Trader. This can be done using the Import a Trade feature.
How to Import a Trade:
Log into your Options Auto Trader account.
Navigate to the Auto Trader page where you want to manage the trade.
Click the green plus icon (+) labeled Import a Trade in the top-right corner of the page.
Follow the prompts to enter the details of the trade you placed manually, including:
The ticker symbol.
The type of option (e.g., call or put).
The strike price and expiration date.
Any other relevant details about the trade.
Once the trade details are entered, click Submit.
The manually placed trade will now appear in your auto trader’s dashboard, allowing you to manage it just like any other trade placed by the system.
