In this guide, you'll learn how to navigate and use the Strategy Database for OptionsAutoTrader. It covers accessing the database, reviewing various trading templates, understanding backtest data, and how to paper trade with preloaded settings.
Go to "Create AutoTrader" and select "Pick an AutoTrader."
This will take you to the Strategy Database.
Before using the database, you need to agree to a legal disclaimer.
The disclaimer highlights that this is for educational purposes only and not financial advice.
Acknowledge the risks and agree by clicking “I Agree” after reading the terms.
The Strategy Database provides several templates, including:
Starter Bots (best for beginners)
Retirement Income Bots
Hedging Bots (for protection against volatility and crashes)
Custom Templates (shared by other members)
Each template provides performance data, including:
Win rate, average win amount, and average loss amount
Historical performance and typical trade duration
The data is backtested, but past performance does not guarantee future results.
It’s recommended to use a demo or paper account to test strategies.
Click “Start using this bot” to preload the settings into your trading account.
After selecting a bot, you can view and customize the settings, including:
Exit and entry rules
Symbols, expiration dates, and strike prices
You can modify the amount of money you want to use for the trade.
Once you’ve reviewed and set your preferences, you can begin paper trading the bot to simulate real trades without financial risk.
